Saturday July 25th Bet 3 of 4

With two selections in the 1.30 at York we have placed a batch of £1.30 ew combination Lucky 15s with Mon Na Slieve in and a batch of £1 ew Lucky 15s with Ventura Express in – so spend £195 first batch and £150 second batch so £345 on them and then a £1 ew five timer with Mon in and a 50p ew five timer with Ventura in – overall spend on the day £348 and the other four selections in each batch of bets.

York 1.30: MON NA SLIEVE 4-1/VENTURA EXPRESS 12-1 both had every chance with Mon Na Slieve fading out of it, while Ventura Express drifted to 14-1 and placed 4th. Kodiac Thriller at 17-2 beat Sports Coach 9-2 with Managing Director at 6-1 just ahead of our lad and Cayman Tai at 28-1 in 5th.

York 2pm: APOLLO ONE 12-1 backed into 10-1, but squeezed out and faded badly at the furlong pole. Stratusnine 10-3fav won from Coul Angel 33-1 with Air Force One at 9-1 in third and Veblen Good at 18-1 in 4th.

Ascot 2.55: AMAZING JOURNEY 7-2 drifted to 4-1 and won well from Two Tribes at 28-1 with Aalto 14-1 in third and Extremely Zain 3-1fav in 4th.

York 3.05: BARLEY 16-1 drifted to 25-1 and a close enough third beating stablemate Son that went off 4-1fav, but Dwindling Funds at 5-1 won from Final Night at 10-1 ahead of our boy in second.

Ascot 5.20: RHYTHM N HOOVES 17-2 sadly 8th less than a length off third as All Ways Glamorous at 8-1 won from Getreadytorumble 10-3fav and Indian Run at 13-2 in third ahead of Underwriter at 100-1 in 4th. With a winner and two nice places in one set of bets and a winner and a 25-1 place in the other set – it won’t be a disastrous day. Profit on the day with returns of £415.28.

Saturday July 18th Bet 2 of 4

We have placed a batch of £2.30 ew Lucky 15s, so cost of those £345 plus a £1.50 ew acca the five, so overall spend on the day £348.

Market Rasen 2.45: BREIZH RIVER 11-2 drifted to 6-1 and gave it a proper go and was a gallant third. Queensbury Boy at 15-2 beat Kingston Narcissis at 3-1fav with Mahons Glory at 10-1 in 4th just behind our lad.

Curragh 2.50: SONDAD 9-2 won well from Dark Thirty at 11-2 with Genesis at 25-1 in third and Keke at 20-1 in 4th.

Newbury 3.37:VOLLERING 7-1 backed into 6-1 and just out the places in 6th. With Zigazig Ah at 17-2 winning from Angels Lane at 10-1 with Final Appeal at 22-1 in third at and 7-2fav Etienne in 4th ahead of Sky Secret at 9-1 in 5th just ahead of our lad.

Cartmel 3.47: RAUSAN 12-1 drifted and not good enough in 10th as Caughtinyourtrance at 9-2 beat Roaring Home at 8-1 with Belles Benefit at 15-2 in third and Tommie Beau at 14-1 in 4th.

Curragh 5.45: TAWAAZON 10-1 sadly not good enough and out the places as Mary Shoelaces at 22-1 won the race for the second time. Returns on the day £158.56.

Saturday July 11th Bet 1 Of 4

We have placed some £2 ew combinations Lucky 15s so overall spend on the day £300.

Selections and approximate odds:

York 2.39: CHECKANDCHALLENGE 15-2 drifted to 8-1 and ran on for a solid third behind The Lost King 3-10ft with Mr Swivell at 9-1 in second.

York 3.12: DICKENSIAN 16-1 backed into 14-1 but never in the race and no prize for 7th. Redorange at 12-1 win from Aspect Island at 7-1 with JM Jungle at 9-1 in third.

Newmarket 3.25: AALTO 7-2 drifted to 4-1fav and came from last to first for trainer Ian Williams comfortably beating Back In Black at 5-1 with Elerak at 13-2 in third and the winner’s stablemate Supido at 7-1 in 4th.

York 3.45: CASTLE STUART 12-1 ran on well into 4tb, but Raamee at 5-1 won well from Hand Of God at 11-2 with Salam Dubawi at 80-1 in third ahead of our lad with Danger Bay at 11-2 in 5th with Spell Master in 6th. After a stewards inquiry our lad was promoted to third with Danger Bay in 4th and Salam Dubawi in 5th – the front two keep their places.

Chester 3.52: TIBER FLOW 4-1 drifted to 6-1 and not good enough in 5th despite the trainer fancying him to run a decent race. Northern Champion at 13-2 won from Dash Of Azure at 7-1 with Holguin at 5-1 in third. With a winner and two places it’s not a disastrous start to the Series. Returns on the day £315.88.
